Customizations Available
There are few customizations available as an instructor that can enable modifications on the course listing and the student experience.
To use these, click on the "edit" course. Next click on the "Step1-Edit Course" option and scroll to these options at the bottom.
Below is a snapshot of what is available:
-
Enable Q&A Forums: This toggle enables/disables Forums on the course. Forums are used to interact with students. Not checking will disable the forums both on the listing and also on the student side.
-
Enable Rating: Rating can be shown on the course listing page. Also, if you want students to rate (or not) your course, you can enable (or disable), this option. Disabling would not allow students to rate the course from their profile.
-
Enable Duration Listing: If you'd like to show the total duration of a course to the student on listing, enable this option.
3.1. Enable Override Duration: If for some reason, the duration of YouTube or Vimeo doesn't add up to the course listing, you can override the total run duration of the course using this option.
-
Enable Certificates: If you want students to get a digital certification, you can enable this option. Certificates are auto issued at the course end after a student completes the course. Certificates are present in the student profile and available for Video Course only.
-
Access Document As: For a video course, you can have the documents either available in the browser or have the users download them. Popular document extensions like txt, doc, docx, can be made available in the users browser. Files can also be zipped and made available as download option to the student.
-
Access Days Limit: For any video course, instructors can restrict the number of days a student can have access to the course. The duration in this is days. Students will get an email a day before the expiration of the course. Students will be able to buy the course again once it expires.
